If anyone

doubts for a second that the cancellation of Issues, Etc. was political . . . read those minutes.

David Strand is very lucky that Kieschnick has such utter control of that board. I can not reiterate enough that the reason why David Strand has his position is because the board on which I served knew that he never did anything unless he was told to by his superiors. You connect the dots.

  1. I am getting so sick of this crap!

  2. Getting “sick of the crap” is the way the “Babylon system” works in the secular world.

You are encouraged to just ignore it all, and eventually it will just “go away”.

Is that what is wanted or needed here? Sweep it under the carpet?

Fine, if you are spineless and aren’t interested in following the mind of Christ in your contribution to society and relating with others.

    What about warning our brother?

Or maybe more importantly, warning both “the brethren” (who are still doing these things) and the brethren in whose company we feel that mind of Christ.

This “crap” isn’t boring to me, though. It gives a real (and very sad) insight into seeing how those who choose to do so are in the business of manipulation of those who won’t say boo to a goose.

    Wake up, guys.

  5. Of course they wouldn’t let Issues get it together as an RSO – who would want another confessional organization out there syphoning funds away from the true glory that is Ablaze!

Kieschnick and Strand – time for you guys to start your own show “Cowards All”

  6. KFUO’s financial picture, as described under New Business on Page 3 of the November 15-16, 2007 Minutes looks interesting.

  7. Molly,

What can you tell us about Bush, Clauss, Kluth, Mueller who voted against IE returning in some format.

  8. I agree. There is no doubt the motive for the cancellation is political–political cntrol by Pres. Kieschnick, David Strand, et al.

Additionally, if anyone doubts that Pres. Kieschnick and David Strand wish to snuff out the Confessional voice in the LC-MS, they only need to look at their responses to our legitimate questions. Ablaze is a program which promotes anthropocentric, not Christocentric, measures for missions. This is not a time to shrink back, become tired of “this crap” and lose heart.

Continuing the endeavors which “Issues Etc.” spurred on–teaching the truth and defending the faith–still goes on. Our Lord has granted us the processes of speaking out here on blogs, networking within our circuits, an–by His grace–bringing a Confessional direction in synodical leadership.

Thanks be to Him whose Word is our great heritage and shall be ours forever.

  9. David,

Thank you for your words of encouragement.

    Indeed, we won’t lose heart!
